Which racket is best for you?

With the Australian Open ending I don’t know about you, but I have been wanting to go out and hit a few balls myself. I personally own a Prince racket that I have had for a few years now, but I have been looking for a new racket. So here are a summary of a few rackets I have been researching.

Wilson

There is the classic Wilson racket that many big time players own such as 18 grand slam winner Roger Federer and 23 grand slam winner Serena Williams.

This racket is the Wilson Pro Staff 97 and is currently on sale at tenniswarehouse.com for $169.00. Although, I’m not a huge fan of the Wilson rackets this model is a replica of the one Roger Federer uses. This model is a lighter version of the one Federer uses and is designed to be able to accelerate smoothly when impacting the ball. So this racket is perfect for someone who enjoys a fast pace game of tennis without the use of a heavy racket.

Prince

Prince’s are nice rackets known for being lighter than most. Professionals that use a Prince are the Bryan Brothers and John Isner.

For this model Tennis Warehouse has a special deal buy 2 for $179 per racquet. The Textreme Warrior 100T is not too light nor heavy but weighs in around the middle at 10.3 ounces. This racket is a perfect fit for beginners and intermediate players who are quick learners and can hit that ball with a lot of spin. Although, it is one of the lighter rackets it still has great stability. The grip is also nice because it is great for topspin players. Prince rackets, especially this one, are also really great for volleys and players who like to attack the net. This would be a great racket for a doubles player.

Babolot

Babolot’s are more on the heavy side as far as rackets go but they are a reliable brand. Professionals that use Babolots are Rafael Nadal, Fabio Fognini and David Ferrer.

The Pure Aero Lite is a newer Babolot model. It is the same model as the Pure Aero but this model is much lighter and is more user friendly. This is another racket for beginner or intermediate players. The Pure Aero Lite Pink features create a wider spacing between the crosses creating a more powerful snapback causing the stringbed to be loaded with spin. I personally really like the pink on this racket and like that it is a lighter version of a Babolot.

this Babolot Pure Aero Lite model comes in at $195.00

There are many other rackets to choose from such as Head and Volkl however these were the three newer models in their brand that I chose to write about. You can find and customize your style of racket at tenniswarehouse.com as well as demo a few rackets to try them out for yourselves before purchasing one.
